This
is a very rare 1959 EB2 with the black bakelite pick-up.
This bass is one of only 263 produced in
1959, yet is in almost mint condition, and all original apart from the Schaller Tuners. They are genuine Gibson tuners but
not original to this bass, which will have had "banjo" tuners. Apart from that, this is a superb example of this
highly collectible bass, and still provides the deep "boom" that these basses were famed for.
